And since we all know that it is the month of love, letā€™s head to Bavaria in Germany & discover ā€œThe Romantic Roadā€.

The Romantic Road is a 261 – mile scenic route through Bavaria that leads you from the Franconia wine country to the foothills of the German Alps. It is the most popular German scenic drive & during the Middle Ages it used to be a major trade route.

The Romantic Road is actually a perfect dreamy getaway with your loved one.

Imagine yourself driving alongside beautiful vineyards, clear watersā€¦. Stopping for pictures in picturesque towns with city walls, towers, ā€¦. Discovering hidden gems along the way, being fascinated by the rich history of medieval castlesā€¦.

Having lunch in the most exquisite charming restaurants ā€¦. Spending your night in romantic hotels ā€¦.

Oh my! This is just too perfect but it can be true! šŸ˜ā¤ļø

During your drive, you can stop at the best preserved medieval town in Germany Rothenburg ob der Tauber.

Take a tour through the historical town, visit its fortified city center & take lots of pictures, walk atop the medieval wall & go to the top of the Historical Town Hall for a breathtaking view of the region.

Have a wine stop at WĆ¼rzburg, an enchanting place famous for its excellent wines & beautiful vineyards, situated in the heart of the Franken wine region. The architectural gem of WĆ¼rzburg is the Residence Palace, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage. šŸ·

Along the road, stop at the old town of DinkelsbĆ¼hl which boasts 16 fortified towers, several authentic city gates & an original ring wall.

A stop at Augsburg, one of the Germanyā€™s oldest city, is certainly a must. Walk around the historical city center with its baroque townhouses, impressive boulevards, ā€¦ Enjoy a medieval candlelight dinner in one of its traditional restaurant in old vaulted rooms.

And to end this beautiful adventure, Neuschwanstein is awaiting for us. This 19th century fairytale castle nestled in the Bavarian mountains is a global symbol of the era of Romanticism & it can be visited via a 35min guided tour.
